Sweater weather is seriously upon us! I woke up to snow on the ground today! Ahhh! Not quite ready for that! I am dreaming of a… winter home! Hahaha. If you could have a winter home anywhere, where would it be? We just went to Hawaii in January, and it was hands down my favorite place I’ve ever been. So, currently that is my top choice. I have a lot of world exploring yet to do, so that might change, but it might not because it was such a beautiful, tranquil place to be. I’ve never felt so peaceful and zen even in the midst of my physical pain, I could still feel peaceful. I’ll never forget that! I felt like everything was going to be alright. I think I need to book another trip to Hawaii right now, hahaha.
Days like today are when I reach for my favorite snuggly sweaters. I’m talking about those over-sized ones that you can just throw on with leggings and lounge around your house, or with jeans and boots, or even a skirt! I am loving the over-sized sweater and skirt combo lately. I tried it out recently with my suede skirt and it looked great! I also want to get a maxi skirt and pair it with one my favorite sweaters. Keep an eye out for this look, I’m determined to make it happen!
My favorite brand for sweaters of all kinds is hands down Free People! Is it me or do they just make the cutest, coziest sweaters? I find that I wear theirs more than anything else in my closet. They’re worth the extra money in opinion. I’d rather have 2 of them than 10 of anything else! The cuts, shape, and styling of them are just always so cute and on trend, if not ahead of the trends! This first look above is a Free People Sweater. I love the deep color, and the detail in the knitting. It’s nice and chunky and super warm. I would put a white tank underneath to give you a little more coverage and warmth if you want it. I wore that way last week and loved it. It comes in other colors, including mustard which is so popular as I’m sure you know by now! I paired it with a pair of my Express cropped jeans and Vince Camuto booties. A great weekend look.
This second sweater look is an over-sized cardigan from Goodnight Macaroon. I love these chunky knit cardigans! This one is particularly great because it is not extremely heavy. I’ve ordered a few that were REALLY heavy and kind of made me feel like the incredible Hulk when I had them on. So, I sent those back, but I kept this one because it’s lighter, softer, and just lays better on me. This would look so cute over top of a dress with boots! It’s really versatile. I paired it with my distressed Abercrombie & Fitch jeans (they make petite sizes I just found out!), Express One Eleven tee, Express belt, and Vince Camuto booties. A perfect look for a perfect fall day 🙂
Below, I’ve linked these two over-sized sweater outfits and a bunch of my other favorites out right now (keep scrolling to see them), all under $150. Which are your favorites? I’d love to hear from you! Hope you have a cozy Saturday! 🙂
