Happy Saturday, everyone!!  I hope you had a good week and are getting to relax today! I’m taking it easy.  I have some strep throat that keeps hanging on so I’m trying to lay low and knock it out.  I’m thinking of making some of my favorite chicken pot pie soup for my friend, too.  Anything that helps me feel cozy and warm.  This chilly weather causes me to stay inside as much as possible!

Days like today are when I don’t want to get out from under the covers!  I’m like “Nooooooo, don’t make me do it!!!!”  So, this little number right here, is perfect!  The pajama jumpsuit, guys.  Genius!  It looks and feels like pajamas, yet is socially acceptable to wear in public and yes, even to work!  The pajama trend has been happening for a while.  We’ve seen slip dresses, robe dresses, robe coats, slipper shoes, and now pajama jumpsuits are hot, too!

I love this one by 1901 that I found at Nordstrom!  It’s black and white, so you can do all sorts of accessories with this one.  You can make it flashy with some leopard or brightly colored shoes, like red, pink, green, yellow, whatever your heart desires.  You can add a fun bag of any kind!  You can wear some flashy earrings to jazz it up!  There’s a million different ways you can make this jumpsuit really stand out!  It is so comfortable, yet still looks so pulled together and cute.  This one comes in petite and regular sizes, so us shorter girls can wear it and still have the cropped length that’s so popular right now, too!

I kept things neutral with my outfit this time.  I like neutrals, they make it look chic and classy.  I chose my favorite nude suede pumps from Sam Edelman, and my little ZAC Zac Posen Earthette bag.  I’m also wearing some new linked hoop earrings from one of my favorite jewelry designers, Vanessa Mooney.  You can just throw a trench coat over this to keep yourself warm outdoors, and you’re set to go for any event – the office, meetings, you name it!  You’ll look like a classy chick in this one.

I’ve linked this outfit and accessories as well as some others at different price points as well.  Hope you love it!

Sometimes, you just feel like wearing black on black on black, you hear me?  Lol.  It’s a feeling that you get.  Not a bad one, just a day that calls for all black!  🙂

What are your plans this weekend?  Tonight we are attending a fundraiser in Pittsburgh for Women’s Dress for Success!  It’s a wonderful charity that provides women who can’t afford a new suit or attire for a job interview with clothes that will make them look professional and land that job!  You’d be surprised how dressing for the job you really want can effect your chances!  Plus, it helps boost your confidence and make you feel even more capable of nailing that interview like a boss!  Can’t wait to find out more tonight!

I think every woman’s wardrobe should consistent of at least one LBD (little black dress for those you new to this whole thing).  You always want to have one on hand that a) FITS you well, even if you were to gain or lose a few, b) is not overly trendy so that it can be worn for more than one season if need be c) could be dressed up or dressed down (throw a blazer or sweater over it for day while wearing flats, take it off for dinner and drinks and add heels from the back of your car, that’s what I do, haha!), and d) looks classy enough for proper occasions but sexy enough for date night with the right shoes and accessories!

I found this really cute LBD from TOPSHOP!  It is soooo comfortable!  It has an elastic waist only at the back that draws it in, so no zippers that you have to stuff yourself into and then can’t breathe or eat all night.  Victory!  I love that it has a nice v-neckline, so it elongates your neck and you can wear some pretty necklaces to accessorize this look.  The length isn’t too short or too long.  The fabric is so silky and smooth!  It’s perfect for a romantic date night.  I love the balloon sleeve accents to give it a more fashion forward and trending look!

I paired this with some peep-toe suede booties that I’ve had in my closet for a while now.  I love the look of booties with a dress.  I also chose my favorite TOPSHOP bucket bag.  The gold detailing really dresses things up.  I went with my favorite coin necklaces to match the bag, and my go-to gold hoop earrings!

I’ve compiled a list of other really cute LBDs for $100 (I think there is only one that is $100), and less!  I’ve also linked everything I am wearing in these photos, too!  Be sure to click the arrow on the right side of the product widget to see all of the dresses that I linked!  Happy shopping! Where do you like to wear LBDs?  Do you have a go-to brand for dresses?  Let me know in the comments 🙂

I love having my pup, Barkley, along with me for photoshoots!  He makes everything more fun!  Isn’t he adorable in his little acorn bandana?  Hahaha!  He brings us so much joy!  He’s the funniest little dog I’ve ever met and he is so cuddly.  He’s the perfect combination of lovable and playful!  We love him so much <3

Another great trend of this season is the wide leg pant!  There are so many ways you can style this trend.  You can wear them as suit pants with a blazer, with a cropped denim jacket, a little cami for a night out, a tee-shirt for a casual, cool look, or as seen here with a sweater tucked in!  I love wide leg pants because they are so elegant, but also so comfortable and trendy!

I found this pair of velour wide leg pants at Nordstrom by MOON RIVER.  They are soooo comfy!  They are seriously the softest pants I have ever owned.  This color is really on trend this season, too.  It’s perfect for fall!  I love the sash that ties at the waist, it adds a cute detail.  I paired it with a black turtleneck sweater for a classic look.  Black and camel/cognac brown is such a timeless color combination.  It’s chic and pulled together, but very modern at the same time.  I chose this adorable bucket bag by TOPSHOP.  I love the gold detailing on it.  It is a luxe-for-less pick!  I love that!  As for shoes, I went with my suede, black pumps (can’t go wrong there) and some gold hoops earrings for jewelry to top it off.

I linked this entire outfit and some other wide leg pants I’m loving.  What do you think about the wide leg pants trend?  Will you wear it?  Let me know in the comments below!  Hope you have a great weekend 🙂

It is really hard to come up with titles for these blog posts!  HAHA.  I hope I don’t lose readers just because the post names are super cheesy.  Just be aware that I know how embarrassing they are.  But, I still do it anyway 😀  How fun is it that we found this train during our photoshoot?!  It was just parked there, and I happened to be wearing overalls!  I was like, “It’s just waiting for me to be the conductor!!” Haha.  This was a funny shoot!

This has been one hell of a rough week over here!  I’ve been getting these sickness attacks since July.  We’ve worked with my Drs and health advisers for months on the possibilities.  I’ve tried so many different things.  The pain starts up in my sternum and the radiates through my back and down into my stomach, over by my liver and gallbladder with the worst nausea, pain, and vomitting.  Anyway, it got so bad (it’s actually been this bad, I just finally gave in) that I went to the ER on Monday.  The CT scan showed a thickness in my stomach at the bottom, so they think it is Gastritis caused by an ulcer or infection such as H. Pylori.  Funny, because I treated H. Pylori this summer when we figured that was probably the case.  Looks like I must have a nasty case of it.  Hopefully it is not an ulcer.  I have to go for further testing later.  Have any of you struggled with gastritis, H. Pylori, or stomach ulcers?  I’d love to hear your experiences!

On the fashion front, I’ve been so obsessed with corduroy lately!  I love it!  It’s such a great fabric for fall and a new fun texture to add to the wardrobe!  I used to have an awesome pair of cords from Abercrombie back in the day.  I wish I would have kept them because I would totally rock them again!  But, I’ve found a couple new corduroy pieces to share with you!

These overalls by Free People are so comfy and are perfect for running around in the chilly, rainy, fall weather!  The color is perfect for fall, too.  You can easily pair this with any other neutral color!  You could add a cardigan sweater over top when it gets cooler, a moto jacket in leather, suede, or knit, a rain jacket, pretty much anything goes with these bad boys!  I wore them on a warmer day, so I chose a ribbed off the shoulder top from Express that comes in a few different colors, and my favorite mules of the moment by Kristin Cavallari.  I love these mules!  They have gold studs all over them, so they add a little fun to any outfit!  I’m also wearing my favorite backpack from Rebecca Minkoff.  I use this bag all the time!  It’s so versatile and convenient.  It feels so casual and cool, yet polished and put together.  That’s my jam.

The second corduroy piece I am loving on is this adorable dress from Tularosa!  I love Tularosa!  They have such fun, vintage inspired, yet modern pieces in their collections.  This dress is a perfect example.  It has the puffy shoulder trend as well as a dramatic A-Line which makes it super feminine and flirty, too!  I love that the zipper in the front allows you to control how low you want the neckline to be.  Sometimes I order things and it’s like “WHOA, I can’t possibly walk around in public like this”.   Hahaha, no judgement, it just doesn’t look good on me to have my entire chest hanging out, LOL.  This dress is so soft and comfortable.  I paired it with some over the knee boots for cooler temps, and my favorite new bucket bag from TOPSHOP!  How adorable is this bag?  I love it because it looks really chic and designer like, but the price is great AND you can fit a lot of stuff in here!  It also has a little drawstring at the top, so your stuff inside is safe and secure and not falling out when you bend over (yes, this has happened to me too many times!).  Unfortunately, I just saw that this dress is SOLD OUT 🙁  Hopefully they will re-stock it, though!  But, never fear!  They have one exactly like it that is plaid and super adorable, too.  I’ve also linked some others that are very similar.

What is your favorite way to wear corduroy?  I’ve linked my these outfits here as well as some of my other favorites I have been eyeing!

Good day, friends!  I hope this finds you well!  I am currently having another one of my sick spells in the middle of the night, so I’ve decided to make use of this time and write to you about paper bag pants! Lol.

The paper bag pant trend has been around now for a bit, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise.  But, I don’t foresee it going anywhere anytime soon!  Lucky for us, these pants are not only very comfortable, but they can also be very flattering!  As with all high-waisted pants, they hit at the smallest point of your waist, drawing your eye in to that point and accentuating your curves.

You might be wondering, “why the hell are they called paper bag pants?”  Valid question.  Well, they are called paper bag pants because the top of the waistline resembles a paper bag when you cinch it in and tie a sash around it, just  like you do with the pants.  Most paper bag pants do have sashes or belts around the waist, which makes you look all the more pulled together.

The trick to styling these pants is to make sure that the top half of your outfit is not as baggy as the bottom half.  We want to create balance and not be too heavy or voluminous all over.  So, you might try a fitted knit top or sweater, a cropped top, or a blouse or simple button down but ALWAYS tucked in!

These paper bag pants are by TOPSHOP.  They’re a nice neutral color, so you can wear them with all sorts of things.  They are really soft and comfortable.  The nice thing about them is that you can wear them with flats or sneakers or dress them up with heels for work or a nice dinner out!  I topped mine off with a cropped, fitted, turtleneck from Free People and some suede stiletto heels for more of a professional/night out look.

You can find paper bag pants at pretty much any retailer these days, but I have linked these ones (which come in regular and petite! And, I think I forgot to get them in petite which is why they are longer on me than the model, ugh…) and some other of my favorites for you as well!  There are lots of different lengths and styles, so be be creative and have fun with it!  Just always remember to keep it smaller on top!  What do you guys think of the paper bag pant trend?  Love it, hate it?  I’d love to know 🙂

I gotta tell you guys… doing these photos for the fall outfits has really been rough!! Lol.  It’s been about 90 degrees or hotter here in the Pittsburgh area almost every day for a while now!  I have been sweating bullets and leaving these shoots completely dehydrated, haha!  I swear it felt like my face was melting off.  I can’t WAIT for it to cool down a bit.  Just a bit.

One of my favorite trends right now is the sweetheart top!  It’s actually always been a favorite of mine because I love the way it showcases the collarbone!  I think they are so sexy without being too sexy.  Does that make sense?  Similar to showing off your ankles… almost 😀

I love this sweetheart top by Lioness!  The crushed velvet floral pattern is so romantic.  I like the way it buttons all the way up the front and on the sleeves.  The puffy shoulders are also really on trend!  It reminds me of what women used to wear with long, full skirts and petticoats back in the early 1900’s.  I adore the vintage vibe!

I paired this with my current favorite TOPSHOP jeans and black stiletto heals that I got from Amazon last year.  But, I’m linking a pair very similar for you as well as some other of my favorite sweetheart tops!

I hope everyone had a lovely Labor Day!  It was really hot here in PA!  We took our dog to the dog park and realized when no one else was there that it was probably irresponsible of us as fur parents to have him out in heat like that!  We didn’t stay long.  Only one other pup came to play and he bathed in the communal doggie tub most of the time.  Our dog, Barkley, is afraid of the water, so he just ran around in the mud and then jumped all over my white jeans!  My mistake for wearing white jeans to the dog park!  What was I thinking?

I had the pleasure again of having my hubby show up for this photoshoot!  I love when he comes!  He is so helpful but also relaxes me a bit.  The most natural smiling shots are the ones with him in it.  We did not even plan this red, white, and blue ensemble!  He just happened to be wearing it to work that day and when he showed up I had this red outfit on, so we ran with it!  Perfect timing for Labor Day!

A major trend in dresses right now that I’m really obsessed with is the blazer dress!  I love the blazer dress so much because it is still a fun, flirty dress with a bit of extra class and sophistication!  It instantly makes me feel like a #bossbabe.  Women are having such a huge moment in time.  I think the blazer dress is a major reflection of our rising power! This one from Leith is actually a romper, but it wraps across in the front making it look like a dress.  I love the big belt across the front, it totally gives it an 80’s vibe!  It’s also really comfortable because it drapes in the front as opposed to having tight buttons, and it has an elastic waistline under the belt.

Because the romper is really loud itself, I kept the shoes and bag neutral.  If you wanted to, you could totally pair it with a fun bag like a leopard print to make an even bolder statement, though!  It’s all about how you like to express yourself 🙂

I’ve linked this romper, accessories and a few other blazer dresses that I love!

It’s so funny to me how our style and even our personalities can change so drastically over time.  If you would have asked me in high school or college if I would have worn polka dots or soft florals, the answer would have been a hard NO!  I remember shopping with my mom probably a few years ago even, and saying, “this is way too feminine for me”.  Haha!  Now, I’m all about the flowers and ruffles, polka dots and soft lace!  Who am I???  I think a lot of my personality has changed through years of my illnesses (and getting older).  It has definitely softened my heart.  I’m not angry anymore and I just want to find peace within myself and be able to give love and help others in the same or similar situations.  I find myself being extremely empathetic and emotional.  Just hearing about someone not being well or going through a hard time really effects me physically.  I can get sick from it!  I guess what I’m trying to say is that that softness has crossed over into my fashion taste, too!  Don’t get me wrong, I still love to rock a black leather moto jacket and boots from time to time.  It just doesn’t always reflect what’s going on inside 🙂

This dreamy little polka dot dress from Tularosa is one of my favorites of this season!  Polka dots are really trending right now! This dress came out at the end of summer and I think it can absolutely be worn in early fall, too.  The color is such a pretty, muted green, and the polka dots are more of a beige than a white, so it’s got a creamy, vintage vibe to it that I love!  It also has the trending ruffles on the sleeves making it all the more feminine.  It’s perfect for a date night or even a wedding!  I wore it out in NYC to see Hamilton, which was such an awesome show!  If you haven’t seen it, it’s definitely worth checking out.  You learn some history, too!

I paired this dress with nude heels from Steve Madden which are so surprisingly comfortable!  I love these simple heels, they go with EVERYTHING!  They are also 35% off right now!

My bag is by Zac Posen.  I love the gold detail fastener.  It’s so simple and chic.  It also can be worn with pretty much everything!  I love pieces that you can use with multiple outfits.  It cuts down on your cost and saves space in your closet!  God knows I need that! 😀

I’ve linked this dress, shoes, and accessories below, as well as some other polka dot dresses I’m digging 🙂

Awww, my sweet husband got to join me on this photoshoot, so we had to include him in a picture 🙂  He is so supportive and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have him with me anytime!  He also makes a great assistant, haha! 😀

I am a huge fan of jumpsuits!  They make me feel more powerful and confident than a dress most of the time.  Maybe because it’s like putting on a superhero costume, or maybe it’s the long look of the pant legs with really high heels that makes me feel like I can take on the world.  I don’t know, but I dig it!

One thing I always look for in a good jumpsuit is comfort!  This one from Cupcakes and Cashmere is literally like wearing sweat pants!  The fabric is so plush and soft!  It has an elastic waist band, so you can eat all you want, sit comfortably, and get it on and off easily (because who wants a bunch of buttons when you’re trying to hurry up and pee?!).  I love this rich merlot color.  It works well any time of year!  I dressed this up with a fancy belt from Vanessa Mooney, but you can easily keep it casual without the belt for a more relaxed look.  For those of us who are height challenged, you can usually get away with wearing some platform wedges and not even have to hem it, all while looking like your best giraffe tall self.

My bag is from Rebecca Minkoff.  I love the chevron style and gold detailing.  It works with so many outfits.  Her bags are really on trend and beautiful without spending an entire mortgage payment on them!  I appreciate that because if you are anything like me, more is more and I like to have a lot of different bag styles to choose from!

I am really obsessed with these Vanessa Mooney earrings right now!  I love her style.  She has so many awesome accessories of all kinds!  These gold hoops have a really chic knot on the top and feel very luxe.  Gold hoops are a staple in any wardrobe and these ones are truly unique!

I’ve linked this outfit and accessories as well as a couple other comfy jumpsuits below! 🙂

When it’s hot out, I cannot bring myself to put pants on most days!  Lol.  I feel so badly for men (wait a minute, no I don’t….) who have to wear suits, pants, and ties all the time despite the heat!  I mean, if that’s one of their few burdens in life, then life is pretty good!  Don’t get me started on the hellish pain of PMS for me.  It’s beyond comprehension.  But back to the topic, sundresses are a total staple for me in the summertime.  They can easily be dressed up or dressed down, and putting on a nice dress even just to do some errands always makes me feel a bit happier 🙂

One of my favorite brands for summer sundresses is Faithful the Brand!  They have soooo many cute styles, long and short.  I love their vintage feel and relaxed, modern vibe.  This one rocks the tie sleeve trend, which is really big this year.  It is so comfortable and the wrap style makes it so flattering on every body type.  I love the sweetness of the dress with it’s delicate flower pattern.  This dress can easily transition into fall with a cardigan or a jacket and some booties.  This color looks great on any skin tone.  It always reminds me of my Irish heritage, too!

This backpack is by Rebecca Minkoff.  I love the detail with the zippers, and it has been so convenient especially when traveling!  I hate getting sore shoulders from wearing a bag on one side all day.  If you’re anything like me and stuff your bag to the limit, you know the feeling!  Rebecca Minkoff makes this backpack in a ton of really cute colors and patterns!

My necklace here is the Warrior Coin Set from joolz by Martha Calvo.  I love coin sets right now, and this warrior one definitely spoke to me!  I love the reminder of knowing I’m fighting a winning battle with my health every day!  It can of course apply to anyone just trying to get through every day life.  We all have our challenges!

I’ve linked this dress, my accessories and some other adorable dresses by Faithful the Brand.  Slainte, my friends!
