Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a fun and relaxing weekend! I had a rather rough week with my health. I was pretty down for the count. But, I managed to get up and out with some of my blogger friends on Sunday and it was so nice to be out in the sunshine with people who lift my spirits! If you’re a blogger, you should check out Style Collective. I’ve met so many great girls in my area that support each other and we’ve become friends, too! It’s a wonderful way to get started with blogging. There’s so many tips and educational information for you there on the website that you can only access if you’re a member. I’d highly recommend it!
Onto fashion! Today is the first day of fall! Yay! I love fall. The colors are so beautiful and I love how we can incorporate them into what we wear. This season, florals are really trending! Not your summertime florals, though. We are seeing lots of darker florals and rich tones to bring out the warm colors of fall.
I love pairing a fall floral blouse with jeans and boots for a casual look. You could spice it up a bit and throw on a mini skirt in leather or corduroy for a cute autumn look, too! These tops are perfect for the early fall days where it’s still warm and not yet sweater weather.
I found this top by Free People at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I got a great deal on it at the time, and it is unfortunately sold out everywhere 🙁 But, I’ve linked a bunch of other similar, pretty options for you below as well as these boots, because they are my FAVORITE! One of these tops says that it is sold out, but if you click on the link, it’s actually fully stocked. Sorry about that! I’m not sure why that happens sometimes?!
Hope you find something you like here. Would love to know your favorites! Have a great start to your week. Thanks for reading! Sending you lots of love and light 🙂
Happy Friday, friends! I feel like I’ve been gone for soooo long! The holidays were so hectic, I barely had time to breathe let alone write a blog post, lol. But, I’m BACK! I hope you all had a lovely holiday season. This one felt pretty magical for me, as it was the best I was feeling in many, many years! I can’t wait to share more about our trips to NYC and Nemacolin with you soon.
January is always such a quiet month around here. After the hustle and bustle, it feels like all of the beautiful lights go away, along with the happy music, the get-togethers, and then we are left with freezing temperatures and dreary days! I do my best to plan fun things to keep the winter blues away. I think it’s important to stay busy through the winter. It can really bog you down if you don’t push yourself a bit. Do you struggle with winter blues ever? I mostly just want to stay inside with my pup. But, we have some fun things on the schedule, including a trip to Charleston, Columbia, and Florida to keep us busy and flowing through until spring!
On the fashion front, I wanted to share one of my favorite brands with you guys! I’ve been finding so many great pieces from their recent collections and couldn’t keep it all to myself 🙂 If you haven’t heard of ASTR the Label yet, you’re probably not alone. They are a newer company, established in 2012. They’re based out LA and have really trendy pieces but with a sophisticated edge to them. They’re feminine, yet still bold. I love their silhouettes. They definitely accentuate the female figure and always deliver a fashion forward design to boot.
I’m wearing the Long Sleeve Tie Front Top in mustard plaid. I love it because it’s kind of like a mini blazer, but it’s a blouse! As I’m sure you know mustard is a huge color this year, so it’s perfectly on trend. I love the puffy sleeves and how the belt accentuates the waist. I paired it with my favorite distressed black jeans from Abercrombie and my white booties for a pop of color in the shoe!
I’ve linked this outfit as well as a bunch of my favorite pieces from ASTR the Label’s current collections. A lot of these are on sale, so be sure to scroll through. I hope you love them as much as I do! Have a wonderful weekend 🙂
