Happy Monday, babes! Hope you’re hanging in there through all of the holiday chaos! We have been soooo busy. I’m having a hard time keeping up! This week we leave for our trip to NYC which I’m super excited about! Christmastime in NYC is one of the best things on Earth if you ask me!
I’m also really excited for New Year’s Eve! I love celebrating New Year’s. It’s a time to reflect on the year that passed and set goals and chase down dreams for the year to come. I find that when I take time to write down intentions for myself, I see that they’re more likely to come to fruition. Even if I don’t know exactly what I want to happen, writing down ideas about the direction I’d like to see my life going always helps get my mind set on the path to getting there. Last year we spent New Year’s Eve in Hawaii! It was a life-changing trip for me. I was in excruciating pain much of the trip and I was really scared about what my future held. But, I bought a journal on that trip, and I started writing and envisioning all of the things I wanted to happen in the coming year. I wrote positive affirmations for myself, and I revisited them daily. It took many months, but very slowly these things started to happen and my life, my health, and my emotional state all began to grow and improve. I really do believe in setting intentions and goals. It helps to have a map, so to speak, of where you want to see yourself traveling on life’s journey!
So, since New Year’s Eve is such a momentous day, you gotta have a great outfit, right?! I like to start the new year off on the right foot looking and feeling amazing! I always find a reason to dress up on New Year’s Eve, even if I have to create it myself 🙂 I just did a post on holiday dresses that have so many options that would be amazing for New Year’s Eve! You can check it out here. But, if you’re going a bit more low key this year, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite festive tops in lots of colors, materials, and sizes! These would look amazing for a New Year’s Eve party with your favorite jeans, shorts, leather pants, or skirts! I’m really loving the metallic trend this year. Gold is huge, so I’ve included a lot of it. Velvet, lace, and sequins are all perfect options, too!
What are your plans for ringing in the New Year? I’d love to hear what you all are doing to celebrate! We will be party hopping and I’m so excited to wear a metallic dress I found recently. I’ll be sure to share it with you! Have a safe and happy New Year, friends! XOXO.
