Hey, babes! Hope you’ve had a most excellent week! The winter weeks are in full effect, so I wanted to share one of my favorite trends that looks amazingly chic, yet still keeps you WARM! So often it seems like what’s fashionable isn’t always what is also practical, especially when it comes to the weather, you know what I mean? But, this style has got you covered – literally.

We’ve seen a lot of oversized sweaters the last few years when it comes to winter fashion. I love this trend! It’s so cozy and comfy. But, what I’m loving most right now is styling them with a maxi skirt! It’s definitely a winter take on a boho-chic summer outfit. All you have to do is find a maxi that you love and pair it with one of your favorite oversized sweaters! Tuck it in a little bit in the front, add some of your favorite jewelry, and top it off with a cute pair of boots, and you have yourself a fabulous outfit.

Being petite, I tend to like sweaters that aren’t too overpowering. I can look like I’m drowning in a sweater if it’s much too big. So, I tend to stick to oversized cropped sweaters, or oversized sweaters that aren’t TOO chunky. But, if you are taller, you can totally rock any oversized sweater be it full length, or chunky (you jerks! jk, lol). For this look, I chose an oversized cropped turtleneck by Lovers + Friends. I could still tuck it in in the front, so it worked really well for this look. Tucking it in the front helps bring some balance to the outfit so you aren’t so heavy on top. It also accentuates the waist, giving you that hourglass shape we all want!

I found this amazing skirt at Revolve by Majorelle. I love the gypsy chic look! It’s such a rich color with a beautiful pattern and gold accents throughout. It’s perfect for petites and taller girls because it is shorter in the front than it is in the back and it also has a slit. I think like these high-low cuts are more flattering, especially if you’re petite. It doesn’t swallow you up and you don’t have to wear platform heels to pull it off! Plus, maxi skirts like this one are great transitional pieces! You can totally wear this in the spring with a lighter top and a tank or cami in the summer.

I picked my favorite pair of OTK boots from Goodnight Macaroon. I love how the leg slit shows them off, too! Plus, you get the added warmth of the taller boots which makes this always cold girl happy 🙂

I completed this boho-chic look with my favorite coin necklaces and bracelet from Anthropologie. They match perfectly with the whole theme and help pull out the gold in the skirt, too.

I’ve linked this outfit as well as some great oversized sweaters and skirts for you to shop, too! What do you think about this trend? I’d love to hear! Leave me a comment below 🙂
