Boho Bags
My favorite bamboo bag!

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! It’s started to get slightly warmer here, and that makes me happy! I see spring on the horizon! Springtime is always a fun time to update your wardrobe with new accessories. One accessory I’m really into right now are bags made from straw, bamboo, and acryllic! They can instantly give any outfit that bohemian vibe that is so popular right now.

This bamboo bag I have above is my current favorite! I love the natural material and neutral color. The design is so interesting, too! It looks great with any sun dress, maxi dress, and even jeans and a tee! You have probably seen versions of this bag all over Instagram. Cult Gaia makes so many of these interesting acryllic, bamboo looking bags. And now, you can find them at other retailers at even better prices! This one is great because you can put a lot of stuff in it and it’s still very fashion-forward and not too heavy. It really gives off a natural, boho chic vibe to your favorite spring and summer outfits!

Love this straw tote! It’s perfect for the beach or sightseeing!

Another of my favorite boho bags this season is this tote by Mar y Sol! It’s the perfect size to fit all of your essentials in and it still doesn’t weigh me down. I took it to the beach, and even wore it with a dress to a wedding, all in the same trip! You can definitely dress it up or down. I love a bag that is versatile like this. It is so natural and breezy looking. I’ll be getting lots of use out this this year!

Trendy Bags for Spring & Summer

Happy Friday, friends! I hope you have had a great week and have fun plans for the weekend! We are off to D.C. to see my uncle tie the knot to his lovely fiance! I’m so excited to see a bunch of family that we don’t get to see too often. Should be a fabulous time!

Trendy Bags for Spring & Summer

I know I just did a post not too long ago on boho bags which you can find here, but there are so many other great bags out right now that I’m drooling over, and I have to share! If you are looking for a fun new bag to spice up your wardrobe, you have come to the right place!

Trendy Bags for Spring & Summer

First, I’ll start with snakeskin and crocodile bags, like this one I have here! Animal print has been hugely popular, but snakeskin and crocodile bags are having a major moment. I love all of the different color options! They look amazing with any of your neutral toned shoes. I personally like to mix textures and wouldn’t pair them with snakeskin shoes or crocodile shoes. I like them paired with a faux or leather shoe, faux or suede, or some other material that isn’t as busy as the bag. My favorite silhouettes are the box bags and the circle bags! It’s so hard to choose, though!

Next up is a really fun, new one that I am absolutely loving! It’s the transparent bag! You might think this one is not for you, but trust me, when you realize how cute it looks with every outfit you’ll want one for your closet, too! I wasn’t so sure, and then I got one and I’m obsessed. It looks good with any style whether edgy or boho, it just works! You’ll see that some of these combine other textures like snakeskin and crocodile into the clear bag. Two trends in one! Gotta love it!

Next up are wooden and beaded bags! I’m combining these two because a lot of wooden/acrylic bags have beads on them, so again, you’re getting two bangs for your buck in the trend department. I love these wooden and beaded bags! They are such a fresh take on the natural straw bags that have been so popular (and still are). But, they’re adding a unique element with construction and design to the natural textile look and I’m really digging it!

Hope you found something you love! Do you have a favorite trend? I’d love to hear it! Have a great weekend! 🙂

Hey, friends! Hope you are having a great week! I’ve been super busy with my singing group, the YOLOS! We have our first concert of the season this week, performing new songs! So, we have been working hard on getting it together, haha! Send us some good vibes, we might need it! 😀 We are singing some old Hollywood style tunes for the themed show on Thursday. We even are dressing up like 1950’s singers. I’m excited!

I wanted to share a few of these Red Dress Boutique looks that I’ve been loving lately. I absolutely LOVE Red Dress Boutique! Everything in their store is so cute AND super affordable, too! But, what’s most important to me is that the quality is also great! I don’t buy things that aren’t good quality because they don’t last, and to me it’s not worth spending money on. But, with Red Dress Boutique, you get quality, great prices, and really in style pieces, and that makes everyone happy!

First up is my favorite boho dress of all time! I about died when I found this one! The SLEEVES! I’m so in love. It’s super flattering with the tie waist, and A-line skirt. The off the shoulder looks great on everyone, too! It also stays in place and doesn’t bounce up onto your shoulders. The material is breathable and really great quality, too! It comes in a few different colors, but I can’t resist a white boho dress, ever. I paired it with these adorable Steve Madden platforms, and a wooden bag to match! I’ve linked it all below.

Next up is my new favorite bag! I’m so into these woven bags, especially ones with beads, and round handles like this! The longer bag look is fashion forward. It’s a definite throwback to the 70’s and I love nothing more than a 70’s vibe! This one comes in two different colors. I love both, but I picked this one because I thought it would look so pretty against this green jumpsuit! It gives it a bit of a beachy look, but you don’t have to be at the beach to rock this. The jumpsuit is ridiculously comfortable and lightweight. The drawstring waist allows you to adjust it to where you are comfortable. The utility style is so in right now and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Both of these pieces are under $50!

I really love Red Dress Boutique’s accessories! One of my favorite accessories trends right now is the throwback to hair barrettes! We are seeing lots of triangle clips, tortoise shell barrettes, you name it, everything you used to wear as a little girl, is back for hair, haha! I love these pretty beaded ones! They are a really nice color and go so well with everything.

Finally, this sweet little eyelet number! If you read my blog posts, you know that I LOVE eyelet and it is really trending right now. I love the sweetheart neckline on this dress! So feminine, and pretty. The ruffle details make it really unique, too. It has straps that tie, so you can adjust it to where you need it to be. I also like that the length is a bit longer so you can wear to all kinds of functions and not feel like you’re showing too much skin. But, it’s still flirty enough to wear for a romantic date night, too!

Happy Friday!! I can’t believe it’s Friday already, this week went by so quickly. I had a pretty interesting week. I met with some doctors I’ve been working with and they had some not so great news for me that I will share with you later. So, it’s been an emotional roller coaster. I’m trying to keep my spirits and chin up. Can’t let things get you too down, ya know? There’s only one way to go and that is forward and through it and you just gotta keep chugging along. I’m ready for the weekend, anyone else? LOL.

Neon Dresses for Every Budget!

On a brighter note, I wanted to talk about neon in today’s fashion post! Was that a good transition?! Haha. I love neon! It’s seriously everywhere right now. We’ve seen it on celebs like Kim K, Gigi Hadid, and Beyonce! It’s been all over all of the major fashion house runways, too. It’s a trend guys, get used to seeing it 🙂

Neon Dresses for Every Budget!

I am probably not going to ever do a head to toe neon look… unless I find a really cute jumpsuit, I’d definitely do that. But, a neon piece here and there is definitely my speed! So, when I found this ruffled, lace-up, flowy top by NBD at Revolve, I was super excited! It is such a pretty neon yellow! I haven’t seen anything like it. It’s perfect for a night out with your girls, brunch, or an afternoon of shopping! I love the balloon sleeves and the subtle iridescent threads that run through it. It’s definitely a statement piece. It would look awesome with white denim and a pair of clear heels, or even a pair of flares to give it more of a boho vibe.

Neon Dresses for Every Budget!

I found some other really cute neon items from several different places. I’m really loving a slight nod to the neon with a bag, or a pair of earrings, headband, or shoes. You can easily spice up a basic outfit with adding in one of these accessories. It gives it a bit of edginess and looks really fashion forward and on trend. I really want to rock a little white tee, vintage denim, and a pair of these neon heels I have linked below. How cute would that be?

I’ve also linked a bunch of my favorite neon items below at prices for every budget! What do you think of the trend? Are you going to try it out? I’d love to hear your thoughts and which of these are your favorites! Have a lovely weekend, friends! <3

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We got to celebrate my mom’s birthday yesterday! It’s really fun because my family is very Irish, so having her birthday fall on St. Patrick’s Day makes it even more special for us. We get to remember our ancestors, our loved ones who passed on, and honor our favorite lady all in the same day!

I wanted to give you some comfy jumpsuit ideas for your upcoming travels, or just for spring and summertime, too! I love comfy jumpsuits for traveling. You always look pulled together, but feel like you’re wearing your PJs! They’re great for sightseeing, flying, riding in the car, or just running errands when the weather gets warmer. There’s something about putting on a cute outfit when you’re traveling or about town that just makes you feel better, you know? So effortlessly boho!

You can pair them with your favorite flat sandals or dress them up a bit with platform wedges! Add some jewelry, a straw bag, and some sunglasses and you’ll look like chic as can be. I love the ease of just slipping it on and heading out the door! No need to try on ten pairs of pants 🙂

I found this adorable denim jumpsuit last season by Splendid. It’s unfortunately sold out, but I’ve found a bunch that are just as cute! I love jumpsuits in denim, stripes, solids, and florals! It’s a trend that isn’t dying anytime soon!

Alright ladies, I am a HUGE fan of this one! I think you either LOVE IT or HATE IT, but animal print is sooo hot right now!  Sorry, I love Zoolander.  I picture myself at 85 years old (which is a pretty steep assumption that I’ll make it that long, lol) decked out in animal print, sequins, and wearing allll of my rings at once!  But until then, I am going to try to do animal print at chicly as possible.  Is chicly a word?

You can wear animal prints in so many ways.  If you aren’t so bold but want to try it, try doing an animal print clutch, like a leopard, snakeskin, or cheetah print!  You can also do a shoe, like a mule slide or even a stiletto heal!  Think of animal print as a neutral!  It can go with any color, really! It of course looks great with black, brown, white or ivory, but you can definitely pair it with reds, purples, pinks, greens, the list goes on.  It can even go well with stripes if you’re into mixing prints!

I love this top by House of Harlow 1960.  Everyone remember Nicole Richie?  Well, you may have thought that she dropped off the face of the Earth, but she has actually been very busy since her Simple Life reality show days.  She is the creator and business woman behind the brand “House of Harlow 1960”.  She started out with jewelry and now has a full clothing line as well.  It is super vintage and really fun, just like her! Not that she’s vintage, just that she likes to dress that way, haha! This leopard print top is a cute take on an off the shoulder boho blouse.  I love the overlay on the top, and the cute cinched-in bell sleeves.  It is actually a bodysuit, which works for looking less disheveled so you don’t have to constantly be doing the tuck-in.  It’s really silky and flowy and is perfect for a fun night out with the girls or date night!

I love this top with a pair of high waisted jeans to accentuate the smallest point of your natural waistline, and some super high stilettos to make your legs all the longer!  I added a belt for a little dressier vibe as I plan to wear this out in the evening.

I’ve linked this top, the rest of my outfit, and some other fun tops I like below!

Pennsylvania autumns have been warmer and warmer in the last few years.  I remember three years ago at Thanksgiving, my husband and I were sitting outside at the Waterfront in Pittsburgh and thinking, “who says global warming isn’t real??”  It used to be really cold and snow a lot in November.  Now we don’t get cooler temps until October, and rarely snow until late December or even January.  I don’t mind though, because that means we can still wear cute dresses and rompers like this one all fall long 🙂

Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean we have to put florals away!  There are plenty of beautiful flowers that bloom in autumn, like lilies, sunflowers, and mums to name a few.  The colors are so rich and beautiful, like this romper from Ali & Jay!  I love the flowy, romantic feel of it.   It would look great with over-the-knee boots when it gets colder, too!

Because the colors of the romper are so deep, I wanted to keep the accessories lighter and let the rich tones take the spotlight.  I paired it with my favorite simple, chic Steve Madden nude heels and Zac Posen bag.  My earrings are from Gorjana.  They are interlocking geometric shapes that really bring out the boho vibes of this romper and the metallic threads throughout.  They are also on sale right now!!  😀

I’ve linked this romper and accessories as well as some other fall floral pieces I love!

I was reading a fashion article not too long ago where a male stylist said something to the effect of “rompers are for babies, and no woman over the age of 4 should be wearing them.”  If you ask me, he’s just jealous because he would get weird looks if he wore one, and we look better in them!  I LOVE rompers!  I have dozens of them.  They make getting dressed such a freaking breeze.  All you gotta do is manage to get your underwear on and slip into one of these and you immediately look put together.  I like that.  Anything that takes the planning and over thinking out of the equation works for me!

I love rompers with long sleeves because everyone has their ACs cranked up so high in the summertime.  I freeze everywhere we go!  Plus, they transition well into the warmer weeks of fall.  This one is by Cupcakes & Cashmere.  I love its boho, breezy style.  I paired it with some Sam Edelman strappy sandals which are so comfortable, and my favorite Ellen & James straw bag.  These bags were huge this spring and summer!  I had to order directly from Ellen & James in Australia because all of the US vendors were sold out of this particular one.  But, there are so many fun Ellen & James bags still available!  I don’t see these bags or rompers for that matter, going away anytime soon! 🙂  Click on the pictures below to shop this look!
